Mutaz was born in Palestine and lived there until he was 13 years old, when he moved here to Halifax. He has been involved in a lot of sports included Deaf Canada team soccer, and has been a soccer referee in Nova Scotia for 8 years.

 

Currently, he teaches Deaf culture and ASL at a community college and is working at Atlantic Provinces Special Education Authority as a Deaf mentor. He enjoys runs/walks with dog/friends at parks and beaches.
